As London prepares to host the prestigious event, mature student Sally Alexander (Keira Knightley) crosses paths with feminist activist Jo Robinson (Jessie Buckley), and together they plot to infiltrate the competition and sabotage it from the inside. Meanwhile, Jennifer Hosten (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) aka Miss Grenada arrives hoping to become the first black contestant to take the Miss World crown, only for the event to descend into chaos as Women's Liberation activists seek to disrupt proceedings.
