An obsessed scientist forces a group of convicted murderers out to sea where he performs grisly glandular experiments in an effort to rid them of their criminal tendencies. The ship's captain leads a mutiny to overtake he doctor and his strongmen, but is turned into a zombie for his trouble! Director Victor Halperin (White Zombie) adapted this lurid tale from an 1899 Jack London story, A Thousand Deaths. It was released by Producers Distributing Corporation (later PRC) and features familiar character actors Irving Pichel (Dracula's Daughter) Skelton Knaggs and Lyle Talbot.
