Force of Habit

Force of Habit (originally: Tottumiskysymys) is written and directed by a collective of seven Finnish women in the wake of #metoo. The film follows different women in their everyday lives, in which they are confronted with power dynamics, sexual harassment, and rape. Each story reveals something about the oppressive structures in our modern society, and how we deal with these kinds of incidents. The diversity of these portraits shows the necessity to keep telling these stories, in a movie that is both politically laden and liberatingly humorous. (Leiden International Film Festival)
