Jan Patocka about the Soul and Politics

Based on students' and friends' recollections of and reflections upon the life and work of Jan Patočka, the film weaves together an homage to the important Czech phenomenologist and the first spokesperson of Charter 77, while at the same time encouraging the viewer to consider the relationship between the philosopher and his era, thoughts, actions, philosophy and politics.
