A father goes to extreme lengths to protect his son from low-life drug dealers in this gut-wrenching crime thriller. When ex-convict Chris’ (Mark O’Brien) plot to double-cross his drug-dealing partner in crime Adam (Ben Cotton) goes awry, he turns to his dad for help. Will Patton, a character actor with over a hundred screen credits plays the father Steven Davis, a stoic survivor and no stranger to tragedy and cruel circumstance beneath the surface of his seemingly quaint suburban existence. His daring actions prove blood is thicker than water when it comes to his less-than-perfect son. There are indelibly gripping moments in this film, perhaps none more visually haunting than the search for a corpse in a cornfield. Shot in Newfoundland and Sault Ste Marie, this tense and character-driven crime thriller is guaranteed to provide a solid hour and a half of entertainment, elevated by taut direction and an enthralling performance from Patton, who once again proves his mettle as one of the greatest character actors of his generation.
