The legalisation of personal marijuana use in Canada last year has prompted a trend in feature films showcasing the issue, with Canadian Strain offering a particularly topical and amusing take. Small-time pot dealer Anne’s business takes a brutal hit following legalisation, and scrambling to make ends meet she applies for a job with the government, hoping to be appointed to one of the proposed government-controlled dispensaries.
