Newport, October 1990. A trailer in front of route 132. In front, the sea. Behind, a field surrounded by hundred-year-old trees. Alice and her father Benoît live in this tiny space. A month ago, Marie (mother, wife) died. Alice and Benoît must learn to live together. In their new daily lives, a dress takes life, reminding the presence of the mother by its movements. Through the dress, Alice forgets her sadness, but Benoît, worried by the behaviour of his daughter, doesn’t want to leave her alone and takes her out on the sea, to fish cod.
