Marcia Merino, known as "La Flaca Alejandra," was compelled through torture and sexual degradation to become an informant for the Chilean military government in the aftermath of the 1973 coup. She fingered members of the MIR leftist movement - of which she herself was a member -- who were then arrested, tortured and killed by DINA, the dreaded secret police. Nearly two decades later she publicly confessed her deeds and asked for forgiveness. In 1994 one of her victims made a documentary about her, and in an extraordinary personal journey together they searched for the painful truth of their experience. (One World)
