Cyclo

When you know nothing about Vietnamese cinema, it's quite nice to let yourself be surprised, especially when it's in a positive direction. The film "Cyclo" or also known as "The Rickshaw" is exactly the example of quality filmmaking that I wouldn't expect from Vietnam. Perhaps it is a bit purposefully harsh at times, but it certainly adds to the result, even though you may feel like you've seen something similar. But definitely not from Vietnam. (21/03/2016)
