A Czech-French existential tragicomedy written and directed by Zdeněk Tyc. Its (anti)hero is a young man named Andrej (played by Filip Topol). The story turns on his fateful love for the powerfully attractive though superficial Kristyna. As a result of her death the film finishes on an ironic postmodern note: Andrej descends INTO hell to liberate her. (official distributor synopsis)
