A modern take on contemporary life and romantic connections in the city of love. Acclaimed filmmaker Jacques Audiard eschews romantic screen representations of Paris for a more grounded take on contemporary love and life in the city, unearthing a kind of cinematic poetry with which to explore these themes. Set in the French capital’s 13th arrondissement, on the left bank of the Seine, the film charts the interwoven relationships between four twenty-somethings, played by Lucie Zhang, Makita Samba, Savages lead singer Jehnny Beth and Noémie Merlant.
