Cambra lives with his mother and step-father in a small town in Argentina, growing up near the border with Bolivia. He dedicates all of his leisure time to rehearsing for a competition in the traditional folk dance, the malamba. His situation begins to be troubled by unresolved family issues as well as the world of organized crime – so easy to fall in with, so hard to leave. A story full of suspense set in present-day South America, captivating for its combinations of the bright colours of Carnival with darker shades of realism. (Febiofest)
