Harding and Astor play two sisters in a wealthy family. Ames is engaged to Astor but ends up with the flippant Harding. A funny and little-known film, probably because of the more famous re-make done eight years later with Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. The dialog in this earlier version is fresh and crisp with good acting all around. Watch for an appearance by Hopper, who was to become one of Hollywood's most notorious gossip columnists. Harding earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress (losing to Marie Dressler for MIN AND BILL) and Horace Jackson was nominated for his Screen Adaptation (losing to Howard Estabrook for CIMARRON).
