English Lara Croft as a new film phenomenon? Hardly. The main heroine is flat, and I mean that in addition to her breasts, a horror to look at (Angelina Jolie tries in vain to give her a semblance of style), the action sequence are dull, the story boring and bland... Simon West attempted to create a modern action spectacle, but instead he created a shapeless mess that exuded some decent choreography and the rather witty character of the red-eared Chris Barrie. Unfortunately, it's not even enough for Lady Croft to have an honest time with MacGyver and the lost treasure of Atlantis. What good is an adventure film that lacks adventure, a good hero and at least a bit of a remarkable story? ()

English The plot is stupid, the production design is trite, the action is poor, the humour is non-existent and the actors are abysmal. The only bright spot is Angelina Jolie's physical performance and Chris Barrie's role (well, more of a cameo). It is a great pity that they did not find support in the rest of the team. ()

English Visually attractive most of the time, but otherwise a dead end. The travel adventure cliches are all fulfilled by the ultra-banality, but it does not illuminate or explain their use, which is quite embarrassing considering that a fair number of people were involved in the script. And surprisingly, Angelina enjoys playing Lara, but the role of the main heroine fatally doesn't suit me. It just doesn't work like this. ()

English Fragmentary, unwittingly funny and, say what you will, Angie still has a long way to go to becoming the real Lara Croft. Simon West piled together a few scenes (the best is probably the one in Cambodia) and stuck them together with shabby stuffing and boring dialogs. While the idea about controlling time could be used really nicely. It was funny all these years later to watch CroftBoy Daniel Craig. Few would have guessed that this was a budding future Bond. Oh and Iain Glen as a bad guy is just ridiculous. ()

English I used to really like Angelina for this role. But as it turned out, the film is so stupid that even its visible strengths couldn't save it. A silly story where it's really just about making it look flashy, which also doesn't work because the action scenes come off more stupid than brilliant. Overall, it’s bad. ()
