Bus Driver (2016)

English It's a pretty ordinary American survival movie that starts with a group of misfits boarding a bus. Maybe it's a shame that it's not really a freak show because these characters are so incredibly annoying that it makes your toes curl. But for most of them, it won't end well. The film really doesn't bring anything extra.

Mirzya (2016)

English It's a classic Bollywood movie where there's too much romance that overwhelms us with its emotions, making it hard to watch after a while. But then comes another scene, perhaps brilliantly action-packed and grand, and you know there's tremendous potential here, which the overly sentimental romance horribly undermines. But after all, it's made for people who crave love.

The Free World (2016)

English What happens to the guy who returns from prison and maybe wants to redeem himself by finding a way to God? How will people look at him? And what happens with the girl he finds? All the questions are answered in this film, but on the other hand, the question is whether you will be interested in it at all.

American Romance (2016)

English A modern-day Bonnie and Clyde in a relatively small setting, where it's essentially about how the duo breaks into a house and does whatever they please with the residents. But it's not particularly imaginative or explicit. A bit of killing under the banner of youth, rebellion, and great love. And maybe insanity, too. Nothing new, nothing surprising.

A.D.H.M. (2016)

English In the film, Shahrukh Khan may appear for a few seconds, the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might play the main role, but in the end, it's just an incredibly long romance that, while featuring stunning costumes and excellent dance and song numbers, ultimately only aims to draw out your tears.

Goldstone (2016)

English More than noir, this film is actually pretty good documentation of the issues that exist in Australian society and what the locals have to deal with, besides alcohol, of course. Unfortunately, the story itself isn't as interesting as the shots of beautiful Australia, but even those don't make this a really good crime film.

23 Paces to Baker Street (1956)

English I'm going to go pretty high here. For about 75% of its duration, this film has such a dense atmosphere that could almost be compared to Hitchcock's work, and I just enjoyed watching the character of the blind writer, wondering if he would uncover the truth. It also evoked Italian giallo a little bit, as if this film was an inspiration for Italians later on. A nice surprise.

Intimate Enemies (2015)

English A properly crazy film that has a relatively simple premise but such interesting characters that you'll momentarily think you're watching a Japanese film. But no, it's the Koreans who have been enjoying this ride quite a bit. I enjoyed the film, I laughed several times, and some scenes were almost memorable to me. It's a pretty inconspicuous film.

Top Dog (2014)

English Considering that I'm not particularly fond of similar British films because they all seem the same to me, this one actually got to me quite a bit. Mainly because there are interesting scenes that don't get boring right away and still attack the emotions in the right way. It's a tough world, so deal with it. And this world doesn't coddle its characters.

Down by love (2016)

English A French film about the fact that even a prison governor can fuck his wards and fall in love with one of them. Sure, he'll suffer the consequences, but he probably won't mind in any major way. That’s what you get with this film, which is very predictable, but still manages to impress you at times with the heavy atmosphere of something bad coming.
