José Padilha was born August 1st 1967 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Padilha has a bachelor degree in Business Economics at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro. He also attended Politic Economics, English Literature and International Politics in Oxford, England.
