Biography
Deepak Rauniyar’s feature film debut Highway (2012) celebrated its premiere at the Berlinale. It was the very first Nepali film screened at a major international film festival. In 2013, the same film also opened the ContemporAsian series at MoMA. White Sun was selected both in Cannes for the Cinéfondation-Atelier and for the Boost! programme of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
