Bertrand Bonello

Bertrand Bonello debuted as a director with Quelque chose d'organique (Something Organic), presented in the Panorama section at the 1998 Berlin Film Festival. Le Pornographe (The Pornographer, 2001), was presented at the Cannes Festival's Semaine de la Critique, where it was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize. With Tiresia (2003) he competed in the French competition’s Official Section, to which he returned with De la guerre (On War, 2008, Quinzaine des Réalisateurs) and once again in competition with L’Apollonide (House of Tolerance, 2011) and Saint Laurent (2014). In 2016 he competed for San Sebastian’s Golden Shell with Nocturama and presented in Zabaltegi Tabakalera Sarah Winchester, opéra Fantôme (Sarah Winchester, Ghost Opera). Zombi Child screened in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at the Cannes Festival.
