English There are fewer boring fights, the female element has been strengthened (the protagonist is, of course, a sensible scientist, without whom the whole of Japan would be in ruins) and, above all, the effects improved to such an extent that it’s almost unbelievable, given the one-year gap. Some of the effects and fiery attractions during the Gamera plasma whipping were admirably beautiful, just pull them up and put them as a background on your monitor :o) ()

English "Gamera 2: Region shurai" just expands the series further with battles against new monsters, but don't expect much else from it. This is a movie that doesn't pretend to be anything special, nor does it strive to enchant you. It's simply another foe for Gamera and humanity, occasionally featuring some imaginative combat elements, but ultimately the design of the enemy monsters is what stands out the most. Insects won't get tired of it. ()
