The creators clearly did not want to impress their audience, so they returned to the proven method of delivering information, which often doesn't make much sense to me, but it's enough to fill the running time, and that's what matters. The plot would get more dramatic if Daddy turned each of his suspicions into an immediate execution; that way, there would finally be fewer suspects, and several nice properties would become available in the area. Well, I wasn't entertained; I was bored, but at least someone finally decided to check out that stupid cellar that has been "subtly" mentioned since the first episode.
