A quaint English zoo director attempts to rid the park of it's cute, cuddly animals and display only 'Fierce Creatures'. A massive corporate conglomerate, Octopus Inc., run by a shrewd and cruel tycoon named Rod McCain, purchases a UK-based leisure company, and also the failing London Marwood Zoo. To bring more business to the zoo, Octopus hires a new manager, Rollo Lee, who promptly comes up with a way to increase profits-do away with all the animals except for the ferocious ones. This new Fierce Creatures Policy shocks the Marwood zookeepers, led by the unendingly talkative Adrian 'Bugsy' Malone. Eventually, Rod McCain's son Vince, along with the up-and-coming business executive Willa Weston, take control of the zoo and revoke the Fierce Creatures Policy. Vince instead comes up with many under-handed and vicious schemes to attract customers-unauthorized celebrity endorsements, shoddy, overpriced zoo merchandise, and using robotic animals instead of real ones. However, Vince is also stealing from the zoo's funds, and when his father finds out, he attempts to turn the zoo into a Japanese-owned golf course. (Fabulous Films)

English Cleese, Palin, Curtis, Kline - none of them disappointed me. Fierce Creatures may be completely different than Wanda, but I certainly can't say it's worse. John Cleese and Michael Palin are both perfect, Kevin Kline is more to my liking as the cocky father (but he's also perfect as the son's father) and Jamie Lee Curtis is, admittedly, mostly there for decoration (But what a decoration!). I round up four and a half stars for the number of scenes where I laughed really, really loud for the first time in a long time (taming the animals with a chair).__P.S. Jerry Goldsmith’s music is playing in the background, so what more could you ask for? ()

English After the success of Wanda, the producers bet on the same creative team and although this film leaves a little to be desired, I couldn't take a star off, I like Monty Python and Jamie Lee Curtis too much for that. Kevin Kline got the role of a self-centered jerk again, hardly a match for his Otto, though. Michael Palin was apparently given his role to make up for stuttering Kevin – he certainly had the most lines of anyone involved. Anyway, I had fun, and the inventiveness of the caretakers was amazing. I also enjoyed all those killer coatis, rabbits, meerkats, and anteaters. ()
