Plots(1)

New York cop Frank Keller (Al Pacino) is divorced, disenchanted and coming close to retirement. A serial killer strikes in the city, attacking men in their bedrooms and it would seem that a woman using personal ads is responsible. Keller teams up with fellow cop Sherman (John Goodman), who has also had a serial killer operating on his patch, and together they devise the idea of placing their own advertisements in the personal columns, dating the women and collecting their fingerprints. One woman who answers the ad is the beautiful and seductive Helen (Ellen Barkin). Frank falls heavily for her and against his better judgement, begins an affair with the prime suspect. English An atmospheric crime thriller with the excellent Pacino. An intriguing and unusual story leaves the viewer feeling uneasy and carries us away through the Sea of Love to an unexpected destination. Come with me my love To the sea, the sea of love I want to tell you How much I love you Do you remember when we met That’s the day I knew you were my pet I want to tell you How much I love you Come with me To the sea, of love Do you remember when we met That’s the day I knew you were my pet I want to tell you How much I love you Come with me To the sea, of love Do you remember when we met That’s the day I knew you were my pet I want to tell you How much I love you I want to tell you How much I love you I want to tell you How much I love you... English Al Pacino’s slightly mentally unstable detective and Ellen Barkin’s femme fatale gave the story exactly what it needed, and John Goodman’s supporting role did not go amiss either. The script was very well written, the director handled it all very well, and I had a good time. ()
