It's been three years since Austin Powers, that swinging international man of mystery, has faced his arch-nemesis, Dr. Evil. But after Dr. Evil and his accomplice Mini Me escape from a maximum-security prison, Austin is called to action once more in this third installment of the highly successful "Austin Powers" movie franchise. Teaming up with the mysterious Goldmember, Dr. Evil hatches a time-traveling scheme to take over the world, one that involves the kidnapping of Nigel Powers, Austin's beloved father and England's most renowned spy. As he chases the villains through time, Austin visits 1975 and joins forces with his old flame, Foxxy Cleopatra, a streetwise and stylish detective. Together Austin and Foxxy must find a way to save Nigel and stop Dr. Evil and Goldmember from their mischievous mayhem. (official distributor synopsis)

English I remember not being very impressed with the third Austin Powers film the first time I saw it, but after watching it today I was downright disappointed. Goldmember doesn’t bring anything new, the jokes have hit rock bottom. The only positives were Austin, Dr.Evil and Mini Me. Otherwise, there was nothing worth watching. Why Beyoncé was in it is beyond me. ()

English A movie unworthy of Austin Powers’ quality and potential... The beginning is excellent, takes of well, but then old jokes from the preceding parts begin to get recycled and that just isn’t funny anymore. Proof that you can’t make an entire movie with just two or three hilarious sketches as a foundation. Unfortunately, not the usually charismatic Mike Myers has any chance of pulling this off. ()

English It's still fun and some jokes are still brilliant. The jokes with subtitles are simply successful and they completely knocked me out. Especially the performance is just amazing, as well as the overall atmosphere, which is well maintained. In the end, it also has a development that is not so surprising, but it is still entertaining. Yeah, if there will be a fourth movie, I'm quite curious. ()

English Although it is not boundless, audacious, and almost genius madness like the previous installment, even this time I am enthralled. Rationally indefensible cult with the immortal character Dr. Evil. ()
