Six months after Gamera's first appearance, a giant opal from New Guinea is brought back to Japan and the new monster Barugon is born. The creature attacks the city of Osaka by emitting a rainbow ray from its back, along with a freezing spray from its mouth, and only a fire-breathing turtle can save the day. (Arrow Films)

When it comes to the script, the film "Daikaijû kettô: Gamera tai Barugon" is not really anything exceptional that should grab your attention. It has a classic introduction with people, a classic arrival of the monster, destruction, and finally, a final fight that decides who wins. It is not surprising in any way, there are nicely used miniatures in some places that may bother most viewers, and then it just ends with some message.
