A case of blackmail threatens to topple the monarchy itself, but soon Sherlock and John discover there is even more to it than that. They find themselves battling international terrorism, rogue CIA agents and a secret conspiracy involving the British government. But this case will cast a longer shadow on their lives than they could ever imagine, as the great detective begins a long duel of wits with an antagonist as cold and ruthless and brilliant as himself: Irene Adler. English Making Irena Adler a dominatrix must have taken the same courage as bringing Sherlock Holmes into the twenty-first century. But all praise - once again it worked and an impressive show of sparkling intrigue was created. The story of this episode is also beautifully complex and intertwined (I'm really looking forward to watching it a second time) and there's a lot more humor compared to the finale of the first series. When everything fell into place in the end, it was pure joy. ()

English The first episode of the second series was very well done by the creators. I couldn't find any flaws in the story (in fact, I didn't even feel like looking for any), the atmosphere was great, Sherlock, John, and unexpectedly even Mrs. Hudson contributed significantly to the fast pace, and they definitely didn't miss with the character of Irene Adler. In addition to all of that, they added a good portion of humor, securing my satisfaction. ()
