As we approach the end of our epic saga, the tumultuous conflict between the Rus and the Vikings comes to a conclusion, with grave consequences. While in Iceland, Ubbe is determined to fulfill his father Ragnar's dream and sail farther west than any Viking has traveled before. And there is unfinished business in England. The Vikings have established settlements there and overrun most of the country - except for Wessex. The King of Wesex, Alfred the Great, is the only Sussex ruler to seriously challenge their complete dominanation. Ivar the Boneless must again face, in battle, the king he only knew as a boy for a final reckoning. (Warner Bros. UK)

English Season 6 went in an interesting direction. The first episodes were weaker, but then things evened out again. The stories from Heptarchy were replaced by Kiev, strangely enough there was also time to return to Iceland, we said goodbye to Lagertha... It is nice to perceive that this could go on forever, voyages of discovery to the west, Greenland, new experiences on the Silk Road to the east. We'll see if the current restrictions cancel the planned continuation of Vikings: Valhalla. ()

English The 6th season was more interesting than the 5th thanks to the discovery of the Rus, but that's about it. The series is just treading water now. You have to wait nine episodes for one battle, all the interesting characters are gone and only the annoying ones remain. The biggest paradox to me is that the least interesting character from the entire series is the only one who has survived. I wasn't bored, but I was watching more out of principle. Visually, it doesn't compare at all to the first season. 6/10. ()

English A contrived finale that lacks the sophistication of the first season, the suspense of the middle ones, and any invention, or perhaps at least the visual satisfaction that the end of this saga would deserve. It's not a total disaster, it has its good moments, but they are few and far between, and it's more about sentiment and respect for the material than quality. ()
