English Season 2 grew together with the Shelby family. It’s bigger, flashier, more ambitious and even a little more stylish. The down-to-earth story of the British gypsy mobsters is so far more balanced and engaging than most other similarly styled series. ()

English The second season was significantly weaker than the previous one. The individual episodes always contained one or two really good scenes, but then they started losing pace. I also felt like the creators didn’t come up with anything new. It was basically the same thing as in Season 1, only with different adversaries. What I appreciated was the season finale and the fantastic Alfie Solomons played by Tom Hardy. 4*- ()
