Queen of Spades: The Dark Rite

It didn't take me long to realize that this was just a Russian variation on American horror movies with a similar theme, and halfway through the film I had decided on a maximum of two stars. However, the creators managed to produce a pretty decent atmosphere (although I'm not sure if it was owing to their skills, or rather due to the utter bleakness of Russian apartment buildings - see Durak). Although the plot was painfully predictable in places, it didn't get boring. 3*- (25/05/2020)
